Men’s handball, 2 consecutive draws in Asian Championship finals

The Korean men’s handball team drew two consecutive games in the final league of the 21st Asian Men’s Handball Championship.

Korea drew 27-27 with Kuwait in the second match of Group 2 of the final league held in Bahrain on the 19th (local time).

Korea, which drew 22-22 with Iraq in the first game, recorded two draws.

Currently, Bahrain is 1st in the group with 1 win and 1 draw, Kuwait and Korea are 2nd with 2 draws, and Iraq is 4th with 1 draw and 1 loss.

Korea will play the final match of the final league against Bahrain at 1 a.m. on the 22nd, Korean time, and the top two teams from the final league will advance to the semifinals.

Korea finished the first half with a 12-10 lead, and in the 26th minute of the second half, Kim Yeon-bin (Doosan) and Ahn Young-woong (Kyung Hee University) scored to take a 3-point lead, 26-23.

However, just before the end of the game, they were unable to stop Kuwait’s strong offensive and ended up tying the score.

Kim Yeon-bin and Ahn Young-wook scored 7 and 6 goals, respectively.
