Wheelchair fencing star Hyo-kyung Kwon achieved her second consecutive victory in the individual epee event at the World Wheelchair Fencing Association Youth World Championships.

According to Hongseong-gun, South Chungcheong Province on the 1st, Kwon Hyo-kyung of the Disabled Workplace Athletics Department won the epee individual event at the Youth World Championships hosted by IWAS held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from the 21st to 28th of last month, winning the championship again this year and winning for the second time in a row.

Kwon also won silver and bronze medals in the foil and saber events.

At the Asian Championships held along with the World Championships, he won gold medals in the individual epee and team events. In particular, the team gold medal was the first win in wheelchair fencing history.

Kwon, who also added medals in the foil and saber events, swept three gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals in the two competitions.
