With three wins (11 losses) and 13 points, Hyundai Capital’s ranking remained unchanged at No. 6. OK Financial Group, which suffered its third straight loss, remained in fifth place.

Hyundai Capital took the lead in the seesaw first set with two timely blocking points.

At 23-23, long setter Kim Myung-kwan blocked a hard hit from OK Financial Group’s Song Hee-chae on the right side.

At 25-24, after Ahmed scored on a back-attack to set up set point, Hong Dong-sun intercepted Jin Sang-heon’s fastball alone in the center.

Ahmed scored an open point by running in place on a ball that was saved by the defense and then blocked Leo’s attack to make the score 11-7.

OK Financial Group

After shaking OK Financial Group‘s reception with a strong serve, Hyundai Capital booked the win with two quick points thanks to back-to-back off-court attacks from Shin Shin-jin and Song Hee-chae to go up 17-11.

In the third set, Hyundai Capital took a 14-11 lead on a fastball by Choi Min-ho,

but Ahmed’s serve was the difference between victory and defeat.

After the OK Financial Group reception collapsed on Ahmed’s strong serve,

setter Kim Myung-kwan’s two-step push and an interception by Heo Soo-bong gave Hyundai Capital a 16-11 lead,

and the team closed out the match with ease.

Ahmed exploded for 20 points with a whopping 87.50 percent attack success rate,

including two service aces on Leo at the end of the third set to complete the Triple Crown (at least three serves, back-attacks, and blocks) for the fourth time this season.

In addition to Ahmed, Hyundai Capital’s offense was evenly distributed, with the wings of Heo Su-bong (15 points) and Hong Dong-sun (10 points) and the centers of Choi Min-ho (6 points) and Chai Pei-chang (real name Pei-chang – 4 points) also contributing.

Hyundai Capital also won the blocking battle 9-2.
