LaMelo Ball is out for the season.

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball is out for the season, The Athletic reported on Monday.

With his wide range of vision and flashes of brilliance, Ball has the superstar talent to draw fans’ attention. He’s also a good scorer, averaging 20.0 points per game in his career.

He won Rookie of the Year in his rookie season and was an All-Star in his second year. Charlotte recognized him early on as a franchise player. Last summer, 먹튀검증 they gave him a massive five-year, $260 million extension without much thought.

But the ball has a fatal weakness. It’s durability. Outside of his rookie season, Ball has been a consistent injury nightmare.

After playing 36 games last season, he has only played 22 this season. After being sidelined with an ankle injury at the start of the season, Ball was sidelined again shortly after his return, this time in the same area. January 27 was his last competitive game.

Ball’s untimely departure ultimately led to his season-ending injury with 12 games left in the regular season. He will focus on rehabilitation and look forward to next season. Despite averaging 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 8.0 assists this season, Ball was given too few opportunities to showcase his talent.

After finishing 18-54 and missing out on the play-in tournament, Charlotte is not getting their starting center Mark Williams back anytime soon. The rest of the season will have to be played by other players.
