‘Warney double-double’ ends LG’s 11-game winning streak as SK clinches 4th place in pro basketball

The Seoul SK ended Changwon LG’s 11-game winning streak and clinched fourth place in the Korean Basketball League.

SK defeated LG 82-62 at Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Seoul on Monday in a home game of the 2023-24 Korean Basketball Association regular season.

SK, which improved to 31-22, trails fifth-place Busan KCC (28-24) by 2.5 games and will clinch fourth place regardless of the outcome of the 스포츠토토사이트 remaining games.

With the win, SK will host fifth-place KCC at home for Games 1-2-5 in the best-of-six playoffs, which begin on April 4.

SK was led by foreign player Jamil Warney, who recorded a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Kim Sun-hyung (12 points), Oh Jae-hyun, and Leon Williams (11 points apiece) also scored in double figures.

LG, on the other hand, shot just 16% from three-point range and suffered a 20-point deficit. Yang Hong-seok chipped in with 19 points, but it was not enough to prevent the loss.

Robert Carter’s game-winning shot in the closing seconds of regulation gave Anyang Kwanjang an 83-81 come-from-behind victory over Suwon KT at Suwon KT Arena.

The ninth-ranked Jungkwanjang improved to 18-35, while third-ranked KT fell to 33-20.
