The NC Dinos, led by Kang, earned a thrilling 10-9 win in extra innings against the Hanwha Eagles of the 2023 KBO Baseball League at Changwon NC Park on Sunday. With the win, NC snapped a three-game losing streak and improved its record to 51 wins, 2 draws, and 47 losses.

However, NC had the veteran Son Ah-seop in their corner. In the bottom of the ninth, Park Dae-on singled up the middle and Kim Joo-won grounded out to the second baseman, leading to a dramatic two-run arch over the left field fence to tie the game.

In extra innings, Kim Soo-yoon stepped up to the plate and delivered a dramatic game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th inning with the bases loaded after Yoon Hyung-joon’s double to left field.

“I think today’s victory was made possible by the fans who stayed and supported us until the end of the game and our players’ determination to win,” said NC head coach Kang In-hwa after the game.
