World Taekwondo Federation invites Mayor Yook Dong-han of Chuncheon on the 21st Watch virtual Taekwondo
Chuncheon City participates in a virtual Taekwondo demonstration match held as a side event of the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games, announcing that it is a central city of Taekwondo.

This match will be held as an exhibition match at the Alibaba Pavilion at the Gangneung Hockey Center at Gangneung Olympic Park, where the Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics are held.
Accordingly, Mayor Yook Dong-han of Chuncheon City is scheduled to visit the stadium on the 21st at the invitation of Cho Jung-won, president of the World Taekwondo Federation, which is hosting the event.
Mayor Yuk plans to not only observe the virtual Taekwondo demonstration match but also discuss ways to cooperate with the World Taekwondo Federation and the Korea Taekwondo Association regarding the three types of Taekwondo international competitions to be held in Chuncheon this year.
The city is making efforts to become the center city of world taekwondo, starting with hosting the headquarters of the World Taekwondo Federation.
This year, the Korea Open International Taekwondo Competition, World Taekwondo Culture Festival, and World Junior Taekwondo Championships will be held in Chuncheon.
Previously, Chuncheon City officially integrated the Chuncheon Leisure Organizing Committee and the Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Competition Organizing Committee for efficient operation of last year’s competition.
